Oh hey, a new year is on the horizon. If that horizon is 5 1/2 hours away. 2015 really wasn’t an awful year. I don’t have any huge complaints. We had a fun trip to California, and we are all healthy (save for Ellis, but if he makes it 5 1/2 hours, he’ll have made it through the year). Financially, we’re sort of in ruins, but we always manage to make it somehow.

So, 2016. Here you come. I don’t make resolutions since that shit doesn’t last more than a week. I don’t do that “new year, new me” crap, either. I don’t want to be new. I just want to be me. Maybe a better me, but not a new me.

I do have some goals I’d like to meet, though.

I’d like to lose weight. A lot of it. I’d like to do it the healthy weight – diet and exercise.

I’d like to get back to yoga at least once a week. Maybe twice.

I’d like to go to the gym at least once a week. No need to set ridiculous goals like “I will go to the gym 5 days a week!”. Nah. I just would like to go. Period.

I’d like to read 20 books. I don’t read nearly enough. This will also mean getting a library card, because I don’t want to buy 20 books.

I’d like to keep up with blogging. Here, and my site I make money off of. Some days I want to quit, but it’s worth it.

I’d like to complete my 2nd 1/2 marathon at Disneyland in November. Actually, I’d like to complete a 22.4 that weekend.

I’d like to cut out drinking pop by the end of the year. It costs too much and it’s not good for me.

I’d like to eat more vegetables.

I’d like to travel more, even if it’s just here in Colorado because we can’t afford much else.

I’d like to go to more concerts.

I’d like to take more naps.

I’d like to dress more nicely.

I’d like to still have my cat, Ellis, at the end of 2016.

I’d like to be happy.
